Scentsy Story
This is my Scentsy story
I loved candles. The look of them, and how I could decorate my house with them. How they made my house smell so good. Unfortunately, I had a cat who loved to jump on everything and knock it all over, so I had to give up candles for fear he would burn the house down! I switched to battery operated candles for the look and automatic sprayers for the scent, but didn’t love them as much as I hoped I would.
My sister discovered Scentsy, four years ago (2016), and had a party that I couldn’t attend because she doesn’t live really close. I did order through her party and bought two warmers and wax bars, without seeing them in person or getting to smell any testers. I went into the order completely blind and hoped for the best. When I received my order, I was so happy! The one warmer I purchased, No Place Like Home, looked so much nicer in real life than the photo online. It was so adorable and I was so happy I let my daughter convince me to buy it when I didn’t want to. It’s still my favourite to this day! The scents of the wax bars were so good too. Eskimo Kiss and Silver Bells are still my fall/winter favourites. I was so excited to get the warmers set up and plugged in and start filling my home with fragrance.
Fast forward a year, and I meet my friend, S, who is signing back up as a consultant again and reintroduces me to Scentsy. I actually get to smell testers this time! And bought so much more over the next few years. I think I may even have more warmers than my she does! I have one in almost every room of my house, and extras, because I like to switch them up depending on mood and season. And thankfully, my husband and daughter love it as much as I do. Husband even bought a warmer for his art studio in the basement and has his very own Spider-Man buddy (daughter and I have buddies too) and has recently started buying the washer whiffs too!
Over the last year or so, S, has dealt with a lot of stuff that has kept her really busy and I offered to help her out with her Scentsy business when she needed and didn’t have the time. Mainly little things, like some Facebook posts for new products and helping her pack up her orders. She was convinced that I would be really good at being a consultant myself and had asked me a few times if I would consider joining. My daughter has also wanted me to become a consultant for a while and my husband thought it was a good idea. I finally made the decision to start my consultant journey after another friend, L, suggested it after the last Scentsy party I had. She loves the Scentsy products she purchased and really wants to buy more, but refuses to do so, unless I am her consultant. How could I ever let her down and keep her from buying the products she wants and not let her “warm the senses” with Scentsy products?
So, May 2020, marks the beginning of my Scentsy business. I hope I can help you fulfill all your Scentsy needs. And be warned, I talk this much in person too ;)
